Description complète des menacesExpert
Some populations in Gabon are located at sites that will be subject to selective logging in the near future or to clear-cutting for planned oil palm exploitation. In addition to these human activities, shifting agriculture and timber harvesting for small-scale subsistence will occur at other sites where the species occurs. Despite these likely threats, A. gabonense is quite frequent throughout much of its large range.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert

Despite the fact that the habitat of Angraecum gabonense is currently threatened, the species does not yet appear to qualify as threatened under the IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria. Angraecum gabonense is easily being grown in shadehouses in Central Africa (Yaoundé in Cameroon, Libreville, Tchimbélé and the Sibang Arboretum in Gabon), and by some hobbyists.
