Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
The habitat in Kasyoha-Kitomi Forest Reserve is impacted by illegal logging, plus there is the continual threat of large agricultural plantations on the edge of the area which could encroach into the reserve.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
Occurs exclusively in two protected areas; Kasyoha-Kitomi Forest Reserve (Uganda) and Nyungwe National Park (Rwanda). The species is not recorded to be grown in ex situ cultivation (BGCI 2018).
It is important that the protected areas are adequately managed to prevent illegal logging and agricultural encroachment and the population and habitat trends should be monitored. Further surveys are required to see if this species occurs elsewhere between the two known localities.
