Recorded to occur in Réserve du Dja (Cameroon) and Lopé National Park (Gabon), but most of the collecting localities appear to be outside of the protected area network. There are no plants recorded to be in ex situ conservation (BGCI 2018).
More efforts are required to ensure both in situ and ex situ conservation of this species. Further field work is required to confirm if this species is one that is responding positively to human activities.
