Description complète des menacesExpert
The locality on the coast at Mondah Forest is impacted by a number of threats including habitat destruction linked to logging, expansion of Libreville (urbanization), as well as sand extraction. Firewood collection and the establishment of plantations are secondary threats. The same is probably true for the type locality on the coast in Equatorial Guinea. However, little is known about threats at the other known localities. There are extensive areas of intact forest in Gabon, and so the species may well be secure in these areas, especially if they occur on inselbergs.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
One specimen has been collected from Monte Allén National Park in Equatorial Guinea. It may occur in other protected areas within its range. No plants are known to exist in ex situ cultivation (BGCI 2018).

Further surveys are required to determine the full range of this species, its population size and trends and whether there are threats to the species elsewhere in its range than in in the coastal areas.
