Aeranthes parvula is currently considered to be decreasing becasue the species habitat is threatened. The number of mature individuals of A. parvula is not known and cannot be estimated since the species is an epiphyte.

The species undergoes a continuing decline in AOO, habitat quality, number of locations and number of mature individuals due to mining activities, logging, slash and burn and charcoal production.

Aeranthes parvula is reported from three protected areas: Analamazaotra national park (two occurrences), Ankeniheny-Zahamena Corridor natural resources reserve (four occurrences) and Ampasindava protected harmonious landscape (one occurrence). In addition, three collections have also been made in the conservation zone surrounding the footprint that should be considered for further protection. The species is listed in CITES Appendix II. Some individuals  have been brought into cultivation in the Ambatovy shade house.
