There are no known conservation measures specifically for this species, but it is currently known to occur in several Protected Areas: Tsaratanana, Analamazaotra-Périnet, Mantadia, Ranomafana, Pic d'Ivohibe and Itremo New Protected Area. Seed collection through the Millennium Seed Bank Project in partnership with PBZT for ex situ storage and in vitro propagation contributes to the long-term conservation of this species.
