Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
The species is listed as Endangered in Armenia (Haruntyunyan et al. 2010), as Least Concern in Jordan (Taifour and El-Oqlah 2014) and in Europe and EU 27 (Kell 2011).
There are 1,146 germplasm accessions of wild origin reported by Genesys of which 574 are backed up at a second genebank (Genesys Global Portal on Plant Genetic Resources 2017). Furthermore, 299 accessions are duplicated and conserved ex situ in the Svalbard Seed Vault. Out of the 1,146 accessions, 1,127 were collected within the species' native range (266 from Greece, 186 from Turkey, 114 from Syria, 111 from Israel, 98 from Bulgaria, 74 from Azerbaijan, 67 from Cyprus, 45 from Lebanon, 30 from Russia, 29 from Armenia, 23 from Jordan, 20 from Lybia, 14 from Macedonia, 12 from Serbia, 11 from the former USSR, nine from Ukraine, seven from Iraq, six from Spain, three from Iran and two from the former Yugoslavia) and 19 are of undisclosed origin of country (Genesys Global Portal on Plant Genetic Resources 2017).
