Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
This species is threatened by the expansion of agriculture, for example, the swamp where it has been recorded in Uganda (the only known locality for this country) is noted to be encroached on by cultivation (Namaganda 2003). Extensive tsetse fly control has led to an increase in cattle numbers and grazing pressure in some swampland areas. Pollution may affected swamp areas close to urban development and mines. Dams and diversion of water for irrigation may also impact wetland areas (Goldberg 2001). The degree to which this species is impacted is uncertain.
