Grazing might be considered as a pressure in the deciduous forests (Castanea forests), as well as in the edges and openings of the Abies cephalonica and Pinus nigra forests where Trisetum laconicum mainly occurs.

This species is included at the Presidential Decree 67/81, in a list with species worthy of legal protection at the national scale. All the localities where the species is known to occur (Parnon, Mainalon, Elikon) are included in the Natura 2000 ecological network; soon it is expected that conservation management measures will be implemented to the habitats of European Importance where Trisetum laconicum is distributed.
