The largest subpopulation is found within Taman Negara National Park, Pahang where several collections have been recorded from the lowland to the hill Dipterocarp Forest (Sam 2014). The park is a Totally Protected Area and it is listed in Category II of the IUCN Management Category (Protected Planet 2018). The subpopulations in Gunung Aais Forest Reserve and Ulu Telemong Forest Reserve are included in the Permanent Forest Reserve network.

There are no obvious threats currently observed for this species. The largest subpopulation in Taman Negara National Park, Pahang is well protected because the park is a Totally Protected Area listed in Category II of the IUCN Management Category (Sam 2014, Protected Planet 2018). There is no apparent threat observed currently for the subpopulations at Gunung Aais Forest Reserve and Ulu Telemong Forest Reserve because both are included in the Permanent Forest Reserve network according to National Forestry Act 1984.
