État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
The species is considered widespread but scattered (Sam 2014). On average the population should be relatively stable. Although there is some habitat degradation, species of Scaphochlamys can generally tolerate a degree of disturbance. The population may decline after a logging event but does generally recover if the forest is allowed to regenerate (Y.Y. Sam pers. comm.).
