The major threat is loss of habitat due to forest conversion or canopy opening from logging. The subpopulations in Ulu Terengganu Forest Reserve in the Sekayu Forest Recreation Park are protected and will survive. This is also the case for the subpopulation in Belum F.R. Elsewhere, subpopulations may be threatened by land conversion and logging activities.
