The forests of Borneo are under continuous threat of being logged and the land converted for e.g. palm oil production (WWF 2018). According to Poulsen (2006) deforestation and logging threatens the species. Nearly 4 % of the tree cover was lost within the extent of occurrence (EOO) in in a 16 year period (2000-2016) (GFW 2018).
